About the Author
Greg Winkler began his soccer coaching career with the Fond du Lac Youth Soccer Association in Wisconsin in 1994. He led his teams to 5 Conference titles, 14 Regional titles, and 18 NSCAA Team Academic Awards. He was selected as the NSCAA National Youth Coach of the Year in 2012 and inducted into the Wisconsin Soccer Association Hall of Fame in 2015. Coach Winkler is currently coaching the Ida Baker boys in Cape Coral. The author served as the president of the Fond du Lac Soccer Association for 20 years, was the president of the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association, and is currently the Boys’ High School Advocacy representative for the NSCAA.
