Description
Brush Up Your Shakespeare with Rosencrantz & Guildenstern came about because of the author’s love of Shakespeare. Pamela’s father taught her the dagger scene from Macbeth when she was 3 years old. Her parents were actors on the Broadway stage and this seemed like information that may be useful to a three-year-old. The cats used in the book are using their actual names and are the pets of Pamela and Peter Ovens who live on Hilton Head Island. The cats enjoy watching videos of their son, Douglas, reading Shakespearean plays. When Pamela noticed this, she decided to write this book.
