Product Description

In All About  Martin Luther King, Jr. readers ages 9 years – 13 years old will learn about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. . He was well-known as one of the most influential leaders in the Civil Rights Movement.

Influenced by Jesus, Gandhi, and Thoreau, he used nonviolent resistance to become a social activist. Dr. King led civil rights marches and gave powerful and influential speeches. For example, his “I Have a Dream” speech given at the March on Washington is an inspiration to many.

It was Dr. King’s hope that all people, no matter the color of their skin, would come together for freedom and equality. Dr. King’s work towards equality would eventually become law, such as the legal end of racial segregation.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. changed the lives of all Americans, and he will forever be an American hero.

All About Martin Luther King, Jr. has illustrations throughout it and is geared mainly toward children in grades 4th through 8th.
